Provide Technical direction in the designing and implementation of the Walmart Health and Wellness Quality Management System.

Be the voice of Quality Engineering at enterprise architecture design and council level meetings, ensuring that quality is planned for in during the design phase, not just tested in at the end. Ensure that our software and systems being designed with testability at the forefront.

Champion cyber security initiatives for our Technology teams and take the lead in streamlining the SSP process for our Walmart Health Technology team.

Partner with our Infrastructure teams in designing testing processes around the Walmart "Demo Clinic", maximizing its value, and ensuring we have the best possible pre-production environment in which to test and review the healthcare systems before clinical use/rollout. Ensure that the Demo Clinic is updated and maintained for Technology team use and implement a scheduling system for teams to access the Demo Clinic.

Partner with QE CC Automation Architect as a consulted / backup resource for evaluating and or designing automation solutions.

Drive consistency and standardization for Quality Engineering processes across the product development lifecycle by partnering with technology and business leaders.

Help reduce customer impact due to applications systems issues by ensuring high quality using quality standards; performing root cause analysis; publishing results; and partnering with Development on future prevention plans.

Work as a Technical Leader to interpret business challenges and recommends best practices to improve technology products, or to improve processes or services through applicable technology.

Partners with Quality Management and cross-functional teams to plan and execute large scale projects.

Introduce optimum technical tools and applications to support testing efforts and team productivity.

Maintain data and provide reporting on defects, regressions, performance trends, and team productivity.

Continually improve Quality Practices - including increased test coverage, thoroughness, devices tested, etc.

Drives continuous process improvement and innovation by identifying inefficiencies in current processes; improving agility of the team; and adopting industry trends for innovation. Ensures product quality by developing and executing quality assurance plan; using data and experience to determine customer needs; directing continuous improvement and eliminating non-value-added work; measuring milestones for quality; and developing mitigation plans to ensure quality.

Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.

Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.

Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open-Door Policy.

Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.

As a Software Engineering Leader specializing in Quality within the Walmart Health organization, you will be working with multiple teams that are working with emerging technologies to build the platform that democratizes healthcare on the backbone of digital and cloud. The platform will empower our customers to access their personal and family health information and provide tools to live healthier. At the same time, platform will help improve productivity of our healthcare providers so they can focus on delivering safe and high-quality care at affordable prices.

You'll sweep us off our feet if...
  • You have experience working in the healthcare industry, preferably with provider organizations.
  • You have experience with EMR integration, preferably Epic.
  • You have enterprise level experience with cybersecurity solutions - evaluating and implementing them as part of the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC)
  • You have Senior Software Development experience working on a variety of technical stacks e.g., Java and .NET.
  • You have experience directly in large scale cloud initiatives e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.
  • You have built or utilized Automation frameworks on an enterprise scale e.g., Selenium, Tosca, UiPath, Appium, Rest Assured, Ready API, etc.
  • You have managed Development teams in the past and can foster solid working relationships across Technology by being able to bridge and communication gaps across the teams.
  • You are metrics driven.

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in healthcare technology quality engineering.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field required.
  • 6+ years Software developing in a major language - preferably Java or C#.
  • Experience fostering a collaborative and agile software development approach that improves velocity, while maintaining a strong focus on reliability, security, legal and regulatory compliance, quality, and scalability.
  • Multi-disciplined technical background, (Networking, Application Development, SQL DB, Cyber sec, Mobile Development)
  • Experience in performance, capacity, and endurance testing, as well as results analysis and recommended remediation is required - JMeter experience preferred.
  • Working in Agile Scrum and DevOps environments representing QE
  • 5+ years of experience evaluating, designing, and implementing test automation frameworks.
  • 3+ years of experience working with continuous build build/integration systems is required.
  • Strong system troubleshooting and analysis skills required to solve complex technical problems
  • Experience in the following areas is desirable: enterprise platform operations, content management and delivery, search engines, system engineering, and performance testing
  • Strong verbal and written communication, particularly in crafting messages and status reports to Senior Management and Business Partners
  • Strong ability to drive changes at a large scale, proactive thinker.
  • Ability to deploy new practices and tooling to keep current with the industry.
  • Must be willing and able to express new ideas, concerns, and opinions directly to wider team in team meetings face-to-face and via remote-working tools.
  • Ability to deal with complex information, processes, and relationships to derive a simple solution.
