Associate Registrar
Union County College - Cranford, NJ
- Oversees Student Services Specialists who work with International and Veteran students.
- Oversees specialized admission counseling services (e.g. veterans, nursing, international students, etc.).
- Resolves technical issues and supports students and staff with registration processes.
- Manages daily work arounds to resolve multiple applications, duplicate records, transcript errors, multiple program errors.
- Manages National Student Clearinghouse degree verification and enrollment verification
- Manages staff training in various aspects of technology and daily workflows.
- Direct daily operations of Registrar’s Office including training staff on student information systems and processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of registration and related policies and procedures, such as classroom assignments, priority, and late registrations.
- Test changes in student information system; write reports, queries, and registration controls.
- Oversee production of transcripts, grade changes, transfer credit analysis and related reports.
- Maintain integrity and accuracy of student records.
- Oversee the retention of documents, scanning procedures, and workflow.
- Work with faculty, students, and staff to ensure compliance with FERPA and college policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Participate in institutional professional development and training.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Technical knowledge of Ellucian Colleague student information system.
- Knowledge of Image Now imaging software.
- Knowledge of Web Intelligence data analytics.
- Knowledge of FERPA regulations.
- Proven technical and analytical abilities.
- Strong administrative and supervisory skills.
- Working knowledge of student information systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- This position’s duties are normally performed in a typical interior/residence work environment, based on the activity scheduled.
- Some physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25pounds.
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
- Some travel required.
