ATRS - Software Engineer - Vice President

JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. - New York, NY

Athena Trade & Risk Services (ATRS) is a global team responsible for building common business components on J.P. Morgan's strategic trade and risk management platform, Athena. Our components are used across multiple businesses and products for trade booking and trade management, price calculation, risk management, and P&L reporting.

What is required?

You are strongly motivated to learn and do engineering right - to find the simplest solutions to complex problems, to build resilient, scalable components that meet client needs and are robust in busy trading environments, and to collaborate effectively with others across the world. Writing tests, object modelling and refactoring are core parts of your engineering practice.

What do we offer?

Fully automated, mature, true continuous deployment, where developers can push code to production in seconds from Visual Studio. Rich domain models, DAO-free object databases, the concise, expressive joy of Python, plus the cutting edge of reactive python. And of course competitive salary and benefits.

No prior experience of Python required. We've found that strong C++, Java, C#, Smalltalk developers take to Python quickly. You'll join 2000 other active Python committers around the world working on the same internal platform.
