The role:

By consistently demonstrating their high-level bar, cocktail and leadership skills, Bar Captains provide support to the Bar Manager. Bar Captains act as liaisons between management and the hourly team of the bar department: providing real-time communication and helping navigate any potential staff or guest issues as first responders. They proactively support their colleagues by seeking out where guidance is needed, never waiting to be asked. In addition, they will regularly fulfill the duties of any other role in the bar department.

Our perfect candidate has:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a bartending role within a high volume, quality cocktail bar/venue
• TIPS alcohol certification
• Food handling certification
• Extensive bar and cocktail knowledge
• Strong communication skills
• Passion for hospitality and a desire to grow within the company
• The ability to work under pressure and to a high standard
• The capability to meet the physical and scheduling demands of the position, including walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods, and working nights, weekends, and holidays
