Client Platform Specialist - Global Clearing Product Development - Associate/VP - New York

Opportunity

The Global Clearing business are now seeking an experienced client platform specialist to work within the Global Product Development team. The candidate will be responsible for delivering an industry leading digital client platform, offering clients pre and post trade solutions via various channels that promote event based exchange of data and resolution of issues in real time.

Business Overview

The Global Clearing business is a leading provider of Clearing Services for Exchanged-Traded Derivatives (ETD) and Over-the-Counter (OTC) derivatives, as well as Intermediation Services for Foreign Exchange (FX). The business is part of the Equities franchise within the Corporate and Investment Bank, and is a key service provider in facilitating clients' access to futures, options, and swaps derivatives markets in the fixed income, equity, credit, commodities, crypto and FX asset classes.

Our team

The Product Development team sits within the Global Derivatives Clearing Front Office and is responsible for driving forward the business agenda & strategy. Assuming the role of product and market subject matter experts, the team are primarily accountable for identifying business opportunities, designing appropriate strategies and overseeing execution and implementation. Clearing Product Development Managers are commercially aware of the business' current product positioning and have a deep understanding of the competitive and market landscape. The team is comprised of 15 individuals across London, New York & Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the business subject matter expert in two key functional areas: Client platform and operational/transactional processing
  • Define and drive the execution of industry leading solutions across a multitude of functional areas in the pre and post trade ecosystem. Includes but not limited to:
    • Automation, operational efficiency & quality control, data exchange, client interactive user tools/integration, transactional/lifecycle event processing & real-time transparency
  • Partner with internal stakeholder groups and external technology platforms to complete proof of concept evaluations
  • Ongoing engagement with external technology platforms in order to continuously reevaluate viability/long term strategy, improve partnerships and enrich relationships
  • Communicate existing and future functionality, services and solutions to clients, undertake client training as required
  • Chair global prioritization sessions with client facing teams to agree and drive the roadmap of client reporting and integration deliverables
  • Flexibly support business deliveries across all business functions/where the evolving needs exists
