Kitchen Manager Expectations:

The Kitchen Manager effectively and efficiently manages a kitchen within the policies and guidelines of the company to ensure guest satisfaction, profit maximization and development of high performing work teams.

Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:

You will be successful in this role if you’re ready to:

  • Proficient in all positions
  • Proficiency of kitchen prep, procedures, portioning, and timing
  • Ensure accuracy of all recipes and kitchen training tools
  • Ensure accuracy of food, beverage, and paper orders
  • Ensure accuracy of all inventories
  • Product cost management
  • PAR maintenance
  • Recruit and interview new kitchen staff
  • Kitchen scheduling and coordination with VGM
  • Hold Sous Chef accountable
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor

Kitchen Manager Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in either a food service or retail environment is required with responsibility for restaurant/store profit and loss
  • Experience in providing customer service and a desire to grow in the food industry is strongly preferred
  • Must have a very hands on management style and be actively involved in all daily functions of the store
  • Required to stand for long periods; walk, bend, kneel, and reach hand boxes or food containers typically weighing 50 pounds or less, without restrictions
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships will all restaurant employees and work as a part of a team by helping others as needed or requested.
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
