Instacart's Brand Partnerships team is focused on serving these advertisers through our native advertising platform. We are seeking a Senior Manager to oversee a team that supports the largest advertisers within the Fortune 500 brands. As the leader, you will create the strategy to drive advertiser value while exceeding internal goals. You will help our advertisers measure results, optimize, and grow their business through your account management team.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Understands the long term vision of the ads business and as Instacart grows internationally, set the vision and go to market strategy for Account Management globally
  • Coach and develop effective people managers that can lead a team of advertising Account Managers
  • Deliver account support against the right advertisers by building coverage plans
  • Establish team goals and drive team to achieve these goals while sharing frequent updates on performance
  • Maintain high advertiser retention by identifying root causes for attrition, developing new sales motions, testing, learning, and scaling
  • Bring structure to problems that are not clearly defined and lack strategic direction
  • Help scale Instacart's advertiser support model through automation and process design. Measure the impact of such changes and chart the course for further investment
  • Partner with Sales Managers and Account Executives to deliver on quarterly gross advertising revenue goals by coaching and developing a team of Account Managers
  • Instill Challenger selling approaches and techniques within the team either through direct experience or external partnerships
  • Identify opportunities for deeper partnership with advertisers across the Instacart ecosystem by collaborating with cross-functional teams and influence decisions to drive key outcomes with peer groups in Catalog, Retail, Product Marketing, Insights, and Media Analytics

ABOUT YOU

  • Ten years experience in account management for an adtech, publisher, or media company. Preferred experience from eCommerce, digital advertising, or multi-sided marketplaces.
  • 7+ years people management experience; 3+ years managing managers
  • Successful track record of recruiting top talent and building high performing teams
  • Experience working in teams tasked with providing digital advertising tools to customers
  • Experience scaling Account Management strategy through crafting process design, automation (in partnership with analyst community), and outsourcing as appropriate
  • Experience managing a revenue driving Account Management team and will motivate, inspire, and mentor members to excel
  • Has led large, multi-geography teams of dozens that drive revenue retention and expansion
  • Experience scaling and growing processes and operations across new geographies a plus
  • Comfortable with data, understanding ROI, and pivoting strategies
  • Strong sense of business judgment and decision making with partial data
  • Can present to and influence senior internal stakeholders up to and including President / C-suite of Instacart
  • Excellent organizational, relationship-building, and written/verbal communication skills
  • BS or MS degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Advertising, Statistics, Engineering or equivalent; MBA is a plus
