Job Description

At the PlowShare Group, the role of media will be to go beyond the standard practice of measuring and achieving campaign and client goals. Our mission in media will be to deliver those results and use them as a force in rebuilding trust between our core institutions, whether in government or public service, and the people that they serve. We will do that by developing and fostering a functional and transparent media organization dedicated to that same mission of service that will engage audiences within environments and entities that have common values and missions so that we can foster trust, action, and behavior change with them for our clients.

Reporting to the VP, Director of Media Operations, PlowShare’s Paid Search Manager will be responsible for management of Paid Search Campaigns across key clients. The Search Manager will maintain oversight of the planning, strategy, and implementation of SEM efforts for clients. This role will work alongside media planning teams to ensure search activity is optimized toward client campaign goals. The Paid Search Manager will demonstrate expertise in Search, particularly with Google products, in order to continuously provide clients with best practices and recommendations for success.

Core Responsibilities

  • Main Paid Search POC for clients and partner agencies
  • Develop strategy in partnership with Client Services team and VP, Media Operations Director
  • Responsible for the execution of strategy and achievement of KPIs
  • Accountable for the delivery of all projects to agreed deadlines
  • Ultimate accountability for pacing and managing account budgets
  • Manage all files and documents related to search activation such as keywords, ad copy, sitelinks, and other items
  • Act as main point of contact for Search Engine and third-party reps
  • Responsible for the management and overall career development of the PPC team
  • Ensure best practice, develop program testing plans and adoption of new features or processes
  • Liaise with other channels and media teams
  • Management of Google Grants campaigns for non-profits if necessary
  • Build strong relationships across client services team and with client.
  • Lead meetings and monthly reporting as needed
  • Assist in provided search media expertise on new business pitches upon request

  • 4+ years of experience in a digital ad agency, with a focus on PPC/SEM
  • 1-2 years of managerial experience, including experience developing and mentoring a team
  • Complete mastery of Search Engines and third-party tools, including SA360
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge
  • Comfort and strength in data aggregation, manipulation, and analysis
  • Ability to think strategically and identify and resolve problems in a client-centric environment
  • Strong project and resource management skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience working with financial data and budgets
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
  • Good writing skills, for both client facing communications and to summarize insights in a concise manner
  • Strong public speaking to discuss campaign strategies, tactics, and reports with clients in meetings
  • Background in federal, public health, non-profit or healthcare search campaigns a plus
