Founded in 2010, Up2Us Sports is a national nonprofit organization that is focused on the power of coaches to transform the lives of our nation’s most vulnerable youth, and the communities they live in, through sports. Up2Us Sports is seeking a Program Operations Manager to join our team. The Program Operations Manager will play an essential role in ensuring efficient operations and compliance across all Up2Us Sports Programs. The position is based in New York City and will report to the Assistant National Director, Program Operations.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Increase the efficiency of Program operations through system upgrades, process improvements, and standardizing operating procedures
  • Monitor the delivery and performance of systems, policies, and procedures as related to Up2Us Programs
  • Manage the operations of timesheets to include enrolling, tracking, and terminating accounts in the timesheet platform, while maintaining regular communication with the Finance team regarding payroll
  • Aid in updating and communicating Program materials to include MOUs, Policies and Procedures Manuals, and programmatic guides and resources
  • Support the development and growth of Program support systems, such as the Coach Program Resources website, program applications, and data tracking
  • Manage compliance, tracking, and completion of Up2Us Coach Program tasks as they relate to grant specific requirements, including coach on-boarding and exiting procedures
  • Document key learnings and make strategic modifications to improve implementation and administration of Up2Us Programs
  • Support the orientation, training, and development of Program staff members
  • Responsible for the completion and submission of Payment Request Forms (PRF) for applicable vendors to ensure grant compliance and positive financial standing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of two years of administrative experience at a nonprofit or similar organization
  • Excellent computer skills and advanced proficiency with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) and Microsoft Office, specifically a high proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Superb interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Superior attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Experience working with AmeriCorps programs and grants management
  • Must be a team player who can work independently, and collaborate with remote team members
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing projects and initiatives
  • A firm belief in the power of sports and coaching to inspire our nation’s youth
  • Commitment to racial and economic justice, and to advancing gender equity in youth sports

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $45,000 to $53,000 per year
  • Health, dental, and life insurance, 403 b savings account, and other benefits, including excellent work-life balance and generous leave time
  • A dynamic, fun, exciting, and flexible work atmosphere with a team of professionals dedicated to supporting underserved youth through sports
  • This position will remain remote through at least mid-March 2022 with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid work schedule sometime thereafter
