Job Title: Python Developer (No H1B Candidates)
Location: Remote for 1-2 Months. Eventually in Culver City CA, Mountain View CA, Bellevue WA, New York City (will be expected to keep PST Hours)
Duration: 12+ Months

Skills Required:

• 4+ years Python
• Experience deploying to AWS or Azure
• DevOps experience/exposure
• API Development
• Microservices environment preferred
• Linux

We require 2-3 professional references with either work email that is working or LinkedIn to match employment – at least one former or current manager required

Your responsibilities will include:

• Backend/API focused Python development
• Standardize and automate change, validation, and deployment processes
• Collaborate in vendor engagements to solve problems and meet application reliability requirements
• Work with engineers around the world to create strategy and continuous improvement for application reliability
• Engineer solutions to monitor the health, availability, and capacity of the environment and software using industry standard tools and practices
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues (hardware or software);

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proficient as a backend/API focused Python developer experienced writing code and solving problems
• Working knowledge of scripting languages including shell and Python 3+ years
• Linux Environment experience
• Familiarity with DevOps tools
• Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure or Google Cloud platforms
• Experience in a large scale production environment
• A team player, fast learner, with a focus on getting work done
• Microservices environment a huge plus

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• API: 3 years (Required)
• Microservices: 3 years (Required)
