Staff Software Engineer

Your Job

You are the owner!! You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack products that power the Candidate Management at Indeed. These systems are used by over a million employers across the world to manage millions of job candidates. As a full-stack developer, who is primarily focused on the UI, on this team you will be working on technology that spans platforms and datastores though will mostly be responsible for the UI that our customers interact with. At the same time, you will be mentoring less experienced developers, applying engineering best practices, and helping to create a culture of software quality and operational excellence through the organization.

You will work with Product Managers (PM), Quality Assurance (QA), and other stakeholders. You won’t just take requests. You will help to define the product and technical roadmaps and to provide input into the business strategy.

Requirements

5+y professional experience in frontend engineering, including experience working on at least one public-facing product with a global presence and significant traffic.
Practical experience with client-side JavaScript, CSS, front-end tooling, and component-driven UI development (React/Redux is a plus).
Experience with programming languages such as Java, C#,C++, Kotlin or Go.
Deep understanding of best engineering practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code review, source control, build, test, deploy, and operations.
Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment
BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

US Remote 143,000 - 207,000 USD per year
