Job Summary

At Cardone, our Occupational Health Nurse will be full time onsite opportunity!

Duties and Responsibilities

• Takes patient's vital signs, treats wounds, and evaluates physical condition of patient.
• Contacts Physician and hospital to arrange for further medical treatment, when needed.
• Maintains record of persons treated, and prepares accident reports and insurance forms.
• Delivers employee programs such as health education, accident prevention, BBP, CPR and First Aid Training.
• Assists Physician in employee medical examinations and post-offer physical exams, drug screening, vision test.
• Performs audiometric testing.
• Procurement of medical supplies and processing of invoices.
• Medical case management and recordkeeping.
• Manages all aspects of workers’ compensation claims in coordination with Operations, Legal, Human Resources and EHS.
• Follow-up of workers in light duty and/or physical therapy. Forwards progress notes/medical records/invoices to workers’ compensation carrier.
• Interacts with and co-ordinates services of external medical service providers treating company employees.
• Wellness advocate
• Actively involved in wellness activities, stretching program, job coaching.
• Assists in the management of COVID-19 cases, respective referral to PCP, contact tracing, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) Required
• 5-10 Related Experience
• Multi-state COMPACT States Licensing desirable
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience with OHM or equivalent Occupational Health software
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills
• Detail Oriented and Organized
• First Aid / CPR Training
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills a must
• Results-driven

Travel Requirements: Inter-plant travel required
