ETHICON US, LLC, a member of Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Senior Marketing Manager, NeuWave located in Raritan, NJ, Blue Ash, OH, or Madison, WI. Domestic travel up to 25% is required.

The Ethicon Surgical Care business is comprised of the following businesses within Johnson & Johnson: Ethicon Surgical Care, Ethicon Biosurgery, Ethicon Energy, Ethicon Endomechanics, Ethicon Robotics, Megadyne, NeuWave, and Torax. With annual sales of $11 billion, the Global Surgery Group is the world’s largest, most innovative surgical company. The strength of the Global Surgery Group is illustrated by the fact that more than 80% of our sales come from businesses with #1 or #2 global market share positions. We serve customers around the world, with about 60% of our sales generated outside the U.S., including a fast-growing presence in emerging markets. The Ethicon Surgical Care business offers a broad range of products, platforms and technologies—including sutures, surgical staplers, clip appliers, trocars and synthetic mesh devices—that are used in a wide variety of minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. Specialties include support for treatment of colorectal and thoracic conditions, women’s health conditions, hernias, cancer and obesity. The Ethicon Surgical Care business combines products and services of two market-leading legacy companies, both with long histories of medical innovation. Ethicon, Inc. based in Somerville, New Jersey, was founded more than 80 years ago as a pioneer in suture development and manufacturing, helping to transform the safety and effectiveness of open surgery. Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc. was created 20 years ago in Cincinnati, Ohio, developing innovative devices that have driven the revolutionary shift from open to minimally invasive surgery that continues to lead the industry today.

The position is responsible for the creation, execution and oversight of the marketing strategies that will improve customer value, market competitiveness and deliver business objectives for the NeuWave platform. The NeuWave platform offers intriguing opportunities within Ethicon to gain experience in the digital, artificial intelligence, and capital equipment fields as well as additional physician specialties including interventional radiologists and interventional oncologists. Working with other marketing colleagues on the team, the individual will drive alignment and execution of cross functional partners to these plans and tactics. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • US commercial lead for the platform, working closely with Global Strategic Marketing partners to shape the future growth plans/market creation of the platform/category
  • Lead the successful launch of new products to the marketplace with a clear selling strategy and role in the portfolio
  • Deliver on sales and forecasts based on brand strategy, marketing programs and corporate operational objectives.
  • Create and implement promotional programs (including advertising, digital)
  • Work across all elements of the marketing mix and use appropriate channels of communication (brand strategy, marketing planning and execution, pricing, launch excellence, procedural selling)
  • Lead KOL advisory management and key society relationships
  • Partner closely with field sales leadership and critical internal collaborators including Global Business Insights, Strategic Customer Group, Commercial Operations, Global Education Solutions, HEMA (Health Economics Medical Affairs), Convention Management, and all support functions (IT, Finance, HR) to develop and implement defined business plan.
  • Monitor and control budget to access promotional effectiveness.
  • Ensure applicable company compliance with all relevant country and regional requirements, company regulations, policies, and procedures.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required; MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 5-year’s combined medical device experience in the following areas is required: marketing, sales, commercial education, professional education.
  • Proven clinical and anatomical knowledge of surgical and/or interventional procedures is required.
  • Interventional radiology and/or capital equipment experience is preferred.
  • Critical thinking, sound business acumen, and creative problem solving is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver customer-defined business solutions is required.
  • Ability to communicate complex technology to a non-technical audience is required.
  • Ability to influence a variety of cross-functional partners is required.
  • Up to 25% overnight travel is required.
