THE OPPORTUNITY

R Squared Robotics is seeking an experienced full stack web developer who will be responsible for developing frontend and backend applications useful for our robotics system. This role is a highly collaborative one. The developer will be working closely with the core software engineering team to develop light-weight customer-facing web apps for the user to interact with our robotic systems both on-site and remotely. The developer will also be responsible for developing internal-facing web apps to support deployment and operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Full Stack Web Developer will be responsible for the following:
• Designing and developing interactive, easy-to-use, lightweight and stylish UI/UX for our robots
• Developing server backend software to interact with the UI and the core robotics software
• Developing web applications to manage and remotely troubleshoot our fleet of robots in the customer site
• Working on integration and testing of web applications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

• B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science, or closely related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proficient in frontend languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience with at least one frontend framework such as React and or Angular
• Experience with at least one backend server framework such as Flask and Express.js.
• Proficient in the backend languages used in your most familiar server framework
• Experience with relational and non-relational database such as MySQL and MongoDB.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience with Unix/Linux

Nice to Have

• Industry experience working on developing production ready software
• Experience with the following tools:
• Software version management eg. Git
• Agile workflow eg. Jira
• CI automation eg. Jenkins
• Experience developing native mobile applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
